Terri Harrigan-Ehalt, owner and operator, holds degrees in both dance and education, attending Point Park College, Slippery Rock University and University of Pittsburgh.  She received the Outstanding Dance Major Award from the National Dance Association during her senior year of college.  She has over 14 years of dance instruction experience and nearly 10 years of public education teaching experience.  She has performed in venues such as City Theatre, Pittsburgh Playhouse, and various gala concerts with American College Dance Festival for the Arts. 

Staff:

Staff members include Danyell Devich, Dawn Claypool, Jennifer Wolfe, Beth Kelly, Sara Lucovich and various guest instructors.  Nearly all staff members hold degrees in dance and education from institutions such as Point Park College, Mercyhurst College, Slippery Rock University or Indiana University of Pennsylvania.  Instructors with an education background, as well as dance, have a keen sense of how to adapt and differentiate instruction for all levels of learners, promote and maintain a fun and encouraging student centered class, and communicate openly and positively with students, other staff members, and parents.  T.H.E. Dance Place also participates in an outreach program with a Pittsburgh based professional dance company, Bodiography Contemporary Ballet.  Professional dancers from Bodiography visit the studio weekly to provide additional intensive technique training in ballet, modern and jazz.
